USAF MAC C-130 Cagayan de Oro Lumbia Airport (CGY/RPML)

Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro, Philippines (CGY/RPML)

A United States Air Force Military Airlift Command C-130 'Hercules' offloads cargo at Cagayan de Oro Lumbia Airport (CGY)
while a crew member actively stands guard and watches passengers from our flight walk on the ramp & head for the arrival area.
I took this photo after disembarking from Philippine Airlines BAC 1-11 flight PR185 from Manila (MNL).

The USAF used this airport in support of a 'weather station' in Damilag which was located right beside Camp Phillips in Bukidnon (Read comment section below)
At other times I observed USAF MAC C-130 personnel borrow & use PAL-CGY forklift and other equipment to facilitate their work.

This C-130 was parked in an area known today as home to the Philippine Air Force 10th Tactical Operations Group (PAF TOG-10).

At another website a certain Tom who worked at the 'Weather Station' writes, "The cover story in early 60s was it was weather station. It actually monitored continental plates for evidence of underground nuclear testing in violation of test ban treaties."
