Antelope Island Causeway(mile marker 6), Davis County, Utah, June 29, 2008. There were two adults and two youngsters. The owl in the bush is a juvenile. The adult is the female, the male was smaller and lighter colored from "bleaching" in the sun(guarding the burrow). If you want to see bleached out males, go to my other Burrowing Owl gallery.
