Comments On Ovenbird Images:
In the early 1900's Skeeter Skelton; who had been a long time Sheriff and Border Patrol agent in Southern Arizona, was with a group of men discussing Teddy Roosevelt, the Rough Riders and the battle of San Juan Hill. After discussiing the pros and cons of the battle for some time they turned to Skeeter and asked his comments. He smiled and said "Hell, I was there."
I appreciate all the favorable comments on the Ovenbird images. I would hope everyone will experience having a bird completely accept them as part of it's environment and as being absolutly no threat. I wish all could see what I saw through the viewfinder as the bird and I danced... too me, it was magic.
My special thanks to Shylow Robinson who was very helpful and shared the experience. Hell, we were there. The images are just to help us remember the experience, rather secondary. Paul
Showing your bird subject that you are not a threat is an important key to a good bird photo. The more I learn how to do this , the better my own photos are. Thanks Paul!
