Dance Council of Dallas and North Texas www.thedancecouncil.org held their 11th Dance for the Planet on April 21 and 22, 2007 in Dallas' Samuel Grand Park at the Shakespeare Festivals Theatre grounds with dance troups from as far away as Houston participating. The styles of dance ranged from Modern, Hip Hop, Street, to Classical Ballet and most of the dancers were children ranging fro the ages of 4 up through High School along with a few adult troops on Saturday. Sunday brought forth even a more diverse group of dancers with more adult groups and college aged dancers on stage along with the younger dancers. Sunday had styles ranging from Classical Ballet to Modern Dance to Hip Hop to Tap to several Middle Eastern Style troops with the Heritage Gallery stage showcasing several Praise Groups dancing in various styles to cap off the event.
