A custom eyepiece adapter made from 2" PVC tubing. A lathe tool was ground to cut the lug that fits into the bayonet on the outside of the D-7 lens. Siebert Optics supplied the optics (40mm 2" Observatory Eyepiece). A holder for the smaller element and spacers/retainers were turned from PVC. Everything fits inside the 2" tubing and is held with set screws tapped into the body. Everything is adjustable and dismountable for cleaning.
