Stromboli is one of the Aeolian Islands north of Sicily. An active volcano which is in a constant state of eruption, it is perhaps best known as the place where Jules Verne's travellers emerged from their Journey to the Center of the Earth. Most of the images here were taken on a guided sunset hike to the top of the 900 meter peak.
