ULURU ~ KATA JUTA NATIONAL PARK, AUSTRALIA

Uluru, or Ayer's Rock is an amazing sight but what is so special is learning of the
tribal significance for the descendants of the original inhabitants of this beautiful continent.
It was truly a spiritual experience for me.

I will get to the photos I took in Australia soon, but in glancing through them I saw one I liked. Uluru is an image that is seen often and easily recognized. Most of my photos were taken at a distance, but this image of a small portion of the awesome monolith caught my eye. As you get close you see the patterns and textures, the colors and the plant life, and in this image the pure simplicity. I wish I could have stayed all day.

Now, this is a different shot of Ayers Rock....this is beautiful. I'm loving this one! You have to print this one and frame it....would you be interested in selling a print of this? V

Never fear, Laine. Not only was I there for the sunset, I got up early the next morning and took a hike to watch the sunrise on both Uluru and Kata Tjuta. Photos later!
