Another Reason to Squish Scorpions!

I didn't find an Autumn image as I was determined to do.
However, I found this when I was locking my back door this morning.
Not a quality shot, but I had to be a contortionist to get it!
Just another reason to kill scorpions....I just hope Texas tourism
doesn't drop significantly because of my Pbase images. Really, this
is a wonderful place to live and visit. I promise!

Cool capture. Ever notice how you always notice a scorpion? No scorpion has ever snuck up on me.

They are nasty looking creatures. I'll take a brown recluse anyday. Good job getting this.

That's it -- I'm cancelling my trip to Texas (or wherever the hell you live). Those things look as big a small cats! Many years ago, when I lived in Florida, I walked barefoot into the bathroom one morning and faced down one of the buggers. Man, I hate those things! Can you divert them by tossing them butterflys or kittens or something?

Murderer! Hope you tried and convicted him on the spot: judge, jury, and executioner! Isn't there a spray or something for these? Honestly, though, you've posted enough beautiful pictures that when you weigh them against these guys it almost seems worth it to visit. I would certainly invest in some sturdy cowboy boots first.
...always remembering to upend them before putting them on, of course. * shudder *

Is this the "season" for them to be more prevalent or active, Petesie. I want warning about these guys.

I was stung by a little one in my backyard about 20 years ago.Good thing we don't have the real poisonous kind here.

Yikes! That's a big sucker! I see what you mean, but I guess scorpions gotta eat too!

I can tell you're not feeling the love... ;)

Interesting capture of the great food chain!
