Bordered Patch (Texas)

Chlosyne lacinia

I am so excited, I actually got a photo of a butterfly in my garden.
As you can tell, my flowers are not in their prime, but he liked it
long enough for me to snap a photo. I was afraid to get any closer.
The ventral view is here: http://www.pbase.com/image/32229989

Nikon Coolpix 4500
1/89s f/3.9 at 16.0mm iso100 full exif

Wow. He really handed you the money shot. And you know, I actually like the way the flower is a little faded and torn. It's a nice change from 'pure' beauty, do you know what I mean?
