I travelled to Antarctica as the guest of GAP Adventures, a Canadian travel company which recently acquired the M/S Explorer, possibly the most famous ship operating in Antarctic waters and first of its kind, constructed about 30 years ago to take the first paying passengers down south for expedition cruises.
