Centre of New Industries and Technologies (CNIT) was built in 1956-58 as a convention center in the new La Defense district. It was refurbished in 1988 into offices & hotel, and refurbished again in 2009 to add more shops. Its structure is supported at 3 points 218m apart, making it the largest unsupported concrete span enclosed space. Our hotel, the Hilton Paris La Defense is located inside this building.
