At 1.1 km, the Strøget pedestrian zone in the old city is the longest vehicle free shopping street in Europe. On its eastern end is the Kongens Nytorv ("The King's New Square") with a Metro station. On its western end is the Copenhagen City Hall (Rådhus), which is across the street from the famous Tivoli Garden, the world’s oldest theme park.
