Jawbreaker

O'Keefe Ranch, near Vernon, British Columbia

I'm not at all sure about this one. I wanted the focus on
the jar of candy as I have it but feel the oof foreground jar
is quite distracting.

I used Lightroom 2 for the majority of the processing, the
adjustment brush and other tools are amazing. I finished
in CS4 with some lab colour and an 'Orton' process. Trying
for the old look to a certain extent.

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I love this Peter, sharp where it should be, my eyes focus straight into it. Great tones too..v

I wouldn't underestimate this one, Peter. It's a perfect nostalgic image. The oof jar is perfectly fine and really adds to the image by intensifying the selective focus. Besides, there's no way to eliminate the oof jar without totally disrupting the image. Vote

The 'Orton' works really well to give that antique finish - I like it!! Bv

I agree with Marcia; I think the critical focus on the second jar coupled with what appears to be a slight boost in saturation sets this shot up well. Very nicely done.
