Mangrove Pitta

Krabi, mangrove forest

Pittas are probably the most sought after family of birds in South-east Asia. Never easy to find.
This one is a mangrove specialist in Thailand found only along the Andaman coastline in the peninsula.
I somehow managed to spot him through the many branches.

Beautiful shot! The colour is excellent. We have several different kinds of Pittas, but different colour tothis. Well done.
