*: (=’ :’) :::::::: Happy New Year Peter!! 2015! :::::::::::
was nice to meet you the other day in Freiburg! We hope you still could enjoy your mildly warm beer, even if it was a seriously warm evening in the Seepark.
Enjoy your travels and don't forget:
"Wenn Schwalben niedrig fliegen, wird man Regenwetter kriegen. Fliegen sie bis in die Höh´n, bleibt das Wetter noch recht schön!"
(If the swallows fly low, there is gonna be rainy weather. If they fly high, the weather is gonna be nice!)

Hello Peter, I've just returned from 2 weeks birding in Thailand. I feel fortunate to have found your Gallery - they are great photos, and will be very helpful as I try to identify species in my 1000+ photos!
Thanks for your nice comments on my photos. The red-throated pipit just landed 2m away from me while photographing wagtails! Not from a blind, i guess it didnt see me or just didnt care. It was in your beautiful home-country.
How have you been?
Hi Peter, thanks for the guide I was able to identify my early morning alarm caller using your pictures :-)
I was bird sites in the search for an idea for my new site and I came to your site.
Very nice pictures. Greetings from the Netherlands

I was wishing to purchase one of the small bird hides and I was just wondering if you delivered to Australia and how much postage would cost.
Hi, you have a wonderful collection of bird pictures. On the other side, I'm just starting now to take nature pictures, as you can see in my flickr
I live in Thailand too and I would be happy to share my (small) experience with you.
I am very grateful for your webpage! I had a very nice photo from a Thai bird, the problem I couldn´t put it on sale because I was not able to identify it, thanks to you I quickly found it was a Blue Rock Trush!
thanks again, I am going to link you from my page
Enjoyed looking at your photos trememdously! Especially loved your shorebird galleries. I visited South Korea in the spring of 2004, especially to see many of these same species, and in particular Spooner and Nordmann's. Saw several of each, but nothing like what you have posted!
Always happy to see others shooting the 400/5.6 freehand and getting good results. Keep up the good work! I hope to visit your area one of these years.
It´s a pleasure to spend some hours on your galleries. You have a lot of wonderful pictures and it´s just to say VERY WELL DONE! Thanks for sharing.

Great galleries Peter - well done!
Min sida heter kstahl.

Hi, Peter, thanks for looking at my bird photos. I have to admit I have learnt a lot by looking at your bird pictures.
Thanks a lot and may you get all the birds that you wanted. :)
Hi Peter, Great to see such a nice collection of Thai birds in your galleries. Am visiting Thailand next year, so I'm sure these photos will be very helpful, as your trip reports on www.thaibirding.com have been.
It's a pleasure to spend a lazy evening sifting through your pictures.
I'm glad I came across your galleries; you have some superb Birds shots. Definitely added to my favorites list!
Thanks for your nice comment on my Carolina Wren, I just went through your site here and your images are great.

Janet frm MacRitchie TTW. Met u tat day & took a look at yr galleries. My, superb beautiful pictures! Thanks for sharing. Keep those pics coming & hope u buy yr DSLR soon!
Många fina bilder Peter, du lyckades bättre än mig i Australian.
Thanks for you compliment on my birds gallery - you are right I need to add names, but will need to get smarter - - I enjoyed your birds as well, particularly those photographed in Australia
Thanks for the compliment about my red-winged blackbird. In parts of the USA, where I live, they flock by the hundreds or thousands. Sometimes, though, it takes another's perspective to remember the beauty of what one sees every day.
Your pictures of the birds of Thailand are truly stunning. You obviously combine skill and love of your subjects.
Mycket fina bilder från den thailändska fågelfaunan.
Skedsnäppan är väl inte så vanlig i thailand?

Thanks for your kind comments o my galleries, Peter.
Best wishes for you and a very happy new year!
Wow! Fantastic shots - really terrific... Yes I use the 82mm with the 30x wide eyepiece. Strong magnification so I am thinking of someday getting the zoom? What do you think. I do have photoshop and have a great time learning how to use it more effectively.
I use the CP 4500 and it seems to work well for me but I know there are tons of other options out there. What camera do you use?
Hi Peter, a most impressive collection of digi-scoped images, hopefully we can get together next year(2006) to capture more of Thailands rich bird life on film or digital sensor!
Thank you for sharing these lovely images with us. Best wishes for your programs and outreach efforts in Southeast Asia. Looking forward to our next trip together, as well as your next update of bird photos.
best regards, Steve
Terrific shot Peter. Keep them coming.
