Channel Billed Cuckoo

These are a huge Cuckoo - a wingspan of around 1 metre.
We saw a few of these flying around but could hear them
as they tended to stay out of sight just over the tree
tops. This one just happed to land momentarily close to
me before rapidly departing.

Very wonderful capture !!! You got to use a lot of muscle to lug that lens and tripod around!!! BV.

Wow! I've never seen a cuckoo this big. We have the yellow-billed cuckoo which is much smaller! Great capture!
