This and the next three pictures, to 8272, were taken under rainy and heavy overcast conditions with the tripod at a high 2000 iso from about 10 to 15 meters. Pictures sharpenned, contrasted and lightened with Nikon NX2.

Tried the Nikon D700 and the Nikon 200-400 under the same conditions and the pictures were poor and unfocused. That combo, although perfect for bigger images is simply not suited for constantly moving small birds from a distance in low light in spite of the high iso capacity of the D700.
