Thank you very much for your attention and comment. Yes, Canon powershot g-10 is good for trips to low risk destinations. And also it is good, if you haven't available better equipment. :-) Regards, Irena.

You have some very nice pictures here Peter.
Thanks for checking out my nature photography and leaving a comment. I do like the wildlife here, but your towns and market photos are equally beautiful. Dave

Sorry Peter, I think I misunderstood your first comment, "as it it were alive" I took that the wrong way., please delete my above comments.

Re the Red fox you commented on,, it is very much alive, and a wild animal.
As for the compression, I do compress my images with photoshop., I shoot in RAW format (8-9 mb), convert it to a jpeg (4-6mb), then edit it in PS CS2, save a full size jepg (2-6 mb) the reduce it for the web... usually 800 - 900 mega pix wide, or 650 mega pix hi, and the size is usually 120 to 200 kb., which is quite small.
You must be on a dial up web connection, if they load slowly, and there is nothing I can do about that.
Thanks for your comments, kind regards.
