Pictures of the Gorges du Verdon, Provence, France, taken in early December 2009 with the Nikon D300, the Nikon 18-200 for landscapes and the Nikon 500vr for the vultures (vautours). The birds have been reintroduced into the Verdon, are fed and protected. They usually are pretty far up in the sky and I was lucky to spot a groupe that was no too high up, circling over me. These are not perfect pictures but adequate to show the variety of species. The 500 was handheld and most shots were made vertically from where I stood. The post processing was done by Colette on Photoshop.
