A Tribute in Light

Beginning on March 11, 2002, the 'Tribute in Light' began in lower Manhattan to mark the six month anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks. It turned out to be a stunning visual tribute to the towers, and the 3000 lives we lost that day. Hopefully the Tribute in Light will be part of the permanent memorial.

A surreal encounter with my namesake. I am a forensic photographer in England and it's great to see another Peter Burke dealing in light when I mainly deal with the darkness of crime.

Well, we all should never forget what causes terror!!! Many people died at september 11th, but not all of them were Americans.This tragedy concerns more than one nationality!!! Also people of ismalic faith died this day in the towers. (Iīm not meaning the terroristīs!)
So, how can anyone only say "God bless America"? There is not only USA..............
I would say:
GOD BLESS THE WORLD!!!!!!

Thanks for these images Pete. In the Uk we only saw one photograph in the newspapers and the quality is never good in newsprint so it's great to see these different views. Cheers !
