While biking to our local library, we heard meowing noises coming from a street water drain. There were 2 tiny starved kittens in it. The kittens looked very young (vet later told us 4 weeks old!). No sign of cat mom. We started feeding them and looking for someone who can adopt them. After a night of heavy rain we decided we can not just leave them there and started a rescue operation (as shown on some of the pictures).
We have 2 grown up cats (see neighboring gallery) and cannot adopt more cats -- so we are searching for a good home for them. In this gallery we refer to our little friends as number 1 and number 2. We do not want to give them names other than temporary ones– we think it is best that their new human parents will do that. It is amazing - they did not act like feral cats at all! Within minutes of being "rescued", they are ready to snuggle with us, investigate the surroundings, and play!

This journey has its ups and downs. We are learning more about our little friends each day and we don't have enough space to describe all of it on this page.

Both kittens how have found their forever homes. Pictures on page 5 show Galadriel and Gimli with their new human parents. We decided to finish with Good Bye Gimli series showing Gimli's last week with us.
