The Balloon Fiesta this year was a bit rough. It was almost competely rained and stormed out on it's first weekend. It wasn't until about Wednesday that the weather really started to clear. Friday was almost perfect. A few of the larger, trickier special shapes balloons didn't launch in the morning because of a very slight breeze, but the skies were clear and it was a gorgeous morning. The weather on Friday evening for the glowdeo and fireworks was about as perfect as I've ever seen. It's a good thing too, because by Saturday morning the weather started to storm up again and Saturday's evening balloon glow was cancelled. They did a "candle glow", which is really just burning some propane with no balloons, and a fireworks show. Sunday morning looked like it was going to be cancelled too because of early morning rains, but the weather cleared at the last minute and many balloons went up for the farewell mass ascension.
