It was extremely stormy yesterday and the balloons didn't fly at all. The weather reports last night (10/6/05) were showing clear skies and 5mph winds for this morning. They lied. It turned out to be very overcast and foggy. The weather reminded me so much of San Francisco. Anyway, not all the balloons went up and the ones that did would disappear into the clouds and fog. I decided to just use my Canon 10-22mm wide angle lens exclusively. I got a few interesting shots anyway.

The few clear sky shots below are from my parents hotel room the first weekend (10/02/05) when the weather was much better.

Update

The balloon glow on 10/08/05 had just gotten underway after some doubt due to weather when some gusty winds picked up and started sending the balloons out of control. This caused the balloonists to scrap the remainder of the balloon glow for the evening. A few of the balloon glow evening shots are at the end of this gallery.
