This is an Old Mill Sight Just Outside Huntsville, AL

The Mill is located at a place called Bloucher Ford which is at the junction of Mountain Fork and the Flint River. I suspect that the Mill was constructed sometime in the early 1900's. The turbines appear to be very modern in design with variable pitch blades. It would be nice if this place could be preserved. I will try to find out more about its historical significance.

We were not happy when the mill burned down. I never made it back to get better photos. I expect some local kids burned it down.

mill was purchased on the court house steps by John Patterson, Judd Patterson, and Henry Hudson (my Grand-Father). There was a grist mill, welding shop cotton mill, and general store. I spent many days there as a boy.

Sorry to say, this mill is no more. Burned down earlier this year. I remember going there as a kid.

These pictures of the Mill are Great! Where is it? Those 2 people in the picture at the end make a cute couple :-).
