The Eiffel Tower was erected on the occasion of the World Fair in 1889. Altogether it is 320 metres high and contains 15,000 pieces of metal that are welded together. It weighs 7000 tons that rest on four enormous pylons with cement bases. It has three floors: the first at 57m, the second at 115m and the third at 274m.
