p.s. I just saw you shot this with aperture priority! That's almost like shooting automatic... There is that little "M" there for a reason. Don't let your camera decide your aperture and shutter speeds for you, otherwise it will seem as you waisted all that money on the lens.

Great shot, but remember when you are shooting in nature, its always great to have a tripod so you can shoot at the maximum aperture (f stops) which will give you a great depth of field. I assume the lens either goes up to f/22 or f/32. Here you could have shot it with a higher aperture, and you could have decreased your shutter time by two stops - if you had a tripod you could have taken the advantage of what the aperture has to offer.
Ansel Adams shot his nature shots with f/64 on his view camera. Your shots are beautiful and you are lucky to live in a gorgeous environment. I suggest you buy yourself a large format camera and develop your pictures in the dark room... It's so cheap to build a darkroom these days. If you don't want a large format get a medium such as Mamiya or Hasselblad. If you really want to spend some money get the digital Mamiya or Hasselblad. They will be more expensive than your car as you might already know. Film is hard but a lot of fun because it makes you a better photographer when it comes to digital. You simply see the world in a different way. People don't believe me until they truly dedicate themselves to it...
P.S. the dynamic range of film is still better than the one on digital! You might notice this when you you gorgeous colors/shades/detail in the sky, and then your digital does not render it right!
