Upper Antelope Slot Canyon

Navajo Nation, Navajo County, Arizona view map

Our guide ushered the throng of other visitors out of the scene and then
started a cascade of sand so we could capture this relatively pristine
setting. I purposely knocked down the saturation a lot to try something
different on what is an otherwise heavily photographed location.
This is a merge of three exposures for HDR.

I like what you did here! Neil is right, it is a bit Dali-ish. Maybe you could photoshop in a dripping clock…Just kidding, the photo is perfect the way it is. Frame it and hang it. V

Great exposure and so nice with the desaturated tones. I much prefer it like this as it make you focus on the textures instead of the colors. "V"

Great shot and agreed, this POV is so, so instagram-ish. But the cascading sand and TUMBLEWEED make this image so wonderful. Voted.

I like this low saturation treatment very much, Sam. As Mary said it emphasizes the beauty of the forms. You got more of the flowing sand than I did. V

This has the feeling an look of a Salvador Dali "V"

Oh.
Yes.
Your sensitive treatment, reducing the colour, concentrates the gaze upon the sheer beauty if the forms.
A superb rendition of a Wonder.
Voted of course.
