Agathla Peak

Kayenta, AZ view map

I shot this on my way up to Moab for a PBase meet-up with Dan Greenberg, Glenn Dean, and David Ingram in 2012.
All great guys and all much better photographers than me.

Here is the other side of the peak as seen coming from Kayenta:

The dark side certainly give a more primeval view. Fascinating comparison of this amazing monument. Well done Sam!

Amazing how the different light changes the mood. Here it looks quite foreboding.

Great image, Sam. We have a rock near Steamboat Springs that looks just like this rock. It is called Finger Rock. Excellent image. V.

Brings back memories of that stretch of road- always thought it would be a great place to just open up the throttle between Kayenta and Monument valley... VT!

I feel like I'm in the car! Like the way the road pulls the eye, in addition to impressive rock.
