Thank you for your kind comments on my site.
Sam, thanks for the comment you left in my Anastasia Gallery, I appreciate it. People leaving comments is always good. A photographer of your caliber leaving one is special. I am absolutely blown away by your photos. Flash photography gallery is nothing short of amazing. I can't wait till I have the opportunity to take a photography trip to Arizona.
Thanks for all the nice comments you have made on my images, they are very much appreciated...
As for the recent storm: My Wife and I arose two hours before sunrise in preparation for one of our annual Fall outings only to be met with an overcast morning. We opted to continue on our way hoping the weather would clear but, the weatherman was not on our side. An hour down the road it began to snow and as we continued the snow storm became more fierce as the blowing snow caused white out conditions, we were forced to take an alternate route back home.
Along the way we stopped to get a few images of the snowy conditions, I well be posting some as soon as I process them...
Thanks for the nice comment on my"Mums" image, it is much appreciated...
Thanks for the tip using clarity, I do use Lightroom 4.0 and have found it greatly improved from their previous ones.
I some times find myself holding back when using clarity, but you are correct about it clearing up some un-wanted items...
Thx for sharing the amazing 2011 images Sam...happy 2012 to you and family!
All the green vegetation along with the beatle killed trees are beginning to dry out with all the hot weather we have been having. We've had some dry lighting storms move through our area recently which was responsible for this fire. The fire fighters were able to get right on it and managed to keep it to only five acres...
Love your work, Sam! :) Yes we do have similar tastes in photography. Thanks for visiting my galleries.
Thanks Sam for your nice comment on my Killdeer image..
As I stated on my image, this Killdeer laid her eggs in our yard so therefore she never ventured far from her nest.
She did her broken wing act and tried to lure me away from her eggs...
Thanks for your visit to my website and I appreciate your nice comments on my images...
Yes Sam I tend too agree with you on the crop on my Fall color image, it would make for a much better over all image...Thanks for the critique

Thanks for all your kind comments over time at my PBase site.
I use Photoshop 7.0, so it may be different than your version. Basically, I cut and paste the one image on top of another. Then, using the layers window, I adjust the opacity of the top layer. Since most of the field is dark, only the bolt should seem to be layered on top. You might have to jack up the contrast or brightness on the top layer, since you are reducing its opacity. Hope this helps.
Sam, Love your work, wonderful captures! I'm in Atlanta now but Tucson is home (my folks live west of the Tucson Mountains)and it's always nice to visit Tucson/home through your images...Thanks and keep them coming! Jerry
