Hi. I was in Rome recently and came across the piece you photographed and called "War Memorial." I have to admit your photograph is better than mine, at the very least because you are probably taller and managed to get a better angle. Anyway, I looked up the sculptor and found a reference to it on an index to Roman monuments. I learned that it was done by Turillo Sindroni in 1920 as a memorial to the fallen telegraph operators in WWI, but I have been unable to discover who she is. Do you happen to know if she's an angel or a particular goddess? Nike, maybe?

Paul,

I would like to use your velvia action for Elements. I have PSE3. How do I download it into PSE3. You mentioned software that I had to have to use actions. What is that?
Thanks for any help that you can give me. I truly enjoy your post on DPReview and the help that you have provided for all of us.

Dear Paul,

I very much enjoyed reading your writeup on "Definitive Metz 54 E-TTL Information" in DPREVIEW forum. It is undoubtedly the most informative writeup on the subject.

I use Canon 10D with Metz 54MZ-3 for entry-level pro work. I get consistently well exposed results in AUTO mode of the flash but inaccurate white balance with the 10D set to AWB. Where as I get accurate white balance in ETTL mode of the flash with the 10D set to AWB, however the ETTL does not give me consistent well exposed results like the AUTO mode does. I will appreciate very much if you would give me some guidance on this.

Thanks and regards,

Val Patel

We met briefly at Costco this weekend. Like your pics - particularly Woman in Distress, Collection, Fall Vegetables. Water Shack must be the Cape Pogue gut!

Don't give up on printing Pantone Duotone (equivalent) at Costco. After you setup the Duotone in Photoshop, go to Image, Mode, Lab Color and then convert to Costco printer profile. Seems to work, although I haven't printed one yet to compare to inkjet.
