I spent five weeks working at Stobnica 'Wolf Park' during summer of 2009. I was back there after a short visit two years ago, to help out, so this is no photo-diary: I was busy feeding the wolves, cleaning up their scat and hacking back some of the more rampant vegetation in their enclosures. There were also horses to look after, wood to split for winter, fences to build, and anything else I could to do to help out. All fitted around the summer visitors, eager to see the wolves. I also spent time getting to know the people there and, of course, it wasn't all work: There was chance to walk in the adjacent forest, home to beaver, deer and wild boar; go and see wild wood bison with flocks of crane flying overhead; and also spend some time with the wolves themselves: Forgive the vanity, but I've only had a handful of photos with me and wolves together previously, and thanks go to Jacek for now giving me several dozen to choose from.Special thanks to Ola for putting up with me for five weeks, and everyone else who made my stay possible, and whom I got chance to meet whilst I was there: It's the people which make a stay like this a truly memorable experience, and this was definitely one of those!Further information about the wood bison here: http://www.zubry.org/
