Mark, It is idiotic to say you or I is right. There is no value in prediction.
The point is this: It is "not" that I and others do not believe in the possibility of some sort of higher power, it is that we do not live life through myth and legend as though our guide prescribes ambrosia. For no one truly knows what is up in the universe except that the life we live (Miraculous as it is) and mysterious as it is...is happening and it will most likely continue on in one form or another. The not knowing...the wonder and ambiguous ontology of it all--is where I find spirituality. Not in the big Profit of organized religion of false iconic commodity. So if I may re-describe my self, you might say that I am not an atheist either--Just a non believer. I like such non-fiction authors as Richard Dawkins "God Delusion", Sam Harris's "End of Faith" or Christopher Hitchens's "God is Not Great". All these books and others help those non believers "Come out of the Closet" as it were. Your hopes for me to refer to the old, new or other books who's authors are sophomoric at best is a hope you do need not pray for.
I enjoy the conversation...thanks.
"Men are mortal God, and gods immortal men; living is death to the former, and dying is their life” (Heraclitus 540-475 BC)

This is for Richard Haden.

Richard, lets say that you are right. You "evolved" and became human. No supreme being created you, so you have nobody to answer to when you die. You just are dead and there is no heaven or hell. That is just fine, for you. Now look at it another way with an open mind. When you die (we all will) you go in front of the creator (God) and are either cast into hell or allowed (by accepting Christ as your savior) into heaven. If we christians are wrong, than what do you have over us. If you are wrong, and there is a creator, what have you lost. The choice is yours to make.

What a tremendous waste of good wood. Wake up people and smell the cedar involved in this man's scam. He's making money off popular Myth. The Ark story was never meant to be literal. Google the "ARK" and read the Islamic version. At least it claims that Noah took aboard about 80 people and his family to repopulate the earth. If you go with the old testament version then you have to believe that we are descended from similar inbreeding as with the story of ADAM and EVE. Are you people idiots or what. Perhaps you are the result of in-breding but I and my friend are descendants of the amoeba and Apes. there for we have been around longer than you biblically limited nonsense.

I read all the comments and agree that this is a wonderful way to visualize how the ark actually looked. It has always been hard for me to imagine such a huge vessel made in Old Testament times. Paul, I applaud you for expressing your faith - and mine - in such an awesome way. God knew what he was doing, as always!

Thank you for surrendering yourself to God completely and listening to His message. God speaks to all of us every day. If we would only listen to that still, small voice, and follow His lead. I hope that by building this Ark, you have led others to really understand the story behind it. The power of God is truly beyond our capacity for understanding. He can do ANYTHING, such as flood the earth. We MUST start believing in His word. When will the people of this earth begin to understand? Earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados, and any other natural disasters could completely destroy everything as we know it today. God is trying to send a message to bring Him back into the lead of our lives. Your Ark gives us a 'visual' if you will, of how to listen to God speaking to us. The Ark is Gods work, through your hands. Thank you again for listening to Him.
