These are a few words of people that prayed for miraculously granted cures to the most ignored "Saint" of Lisbon. He was a Doctor, Sousa Martins his name. People from all over the country come to pray for their cure or of their relatives and make promises in front of his statue. I think he was not a religious man and all this devotion has been ignored by the Portuguese Catholic Authorities. The Patriarch lived less than 100 metres from this place of cult.
