The c-7000z nose piece has no threaded portion to
mount filters. It also has a lens that extends out
when the camera is turned on. This amount of extension
varies with the amount of zoom selected. This camera
is a 5x zoom. So I made from a couple of old flashlight
nose pieces two adapters that are a tight fit over the
camera fixed nose piece. Then a standard Kenco filter
adapter is a light press fit to the flashlight piece.
There is a shorter adapter barrel to be used with the
smaller zoom amount (wide angle) and a longer barrel
to be used for the 5X Telephoto end. The Kenco filter
adapter is fitted with standard filter step up rings
to hold both filters. close-up lens and the Olympus
Adapter Lens, both the B-28 (.8x wide angle) and the
B-300 ( 1.7x Telephoto) Olympus now markets these same
lens under the Tcon/Wcon label
If the short barrel is in use, care must be taken so as
not to run the end of the lens into the filter by zooming
to far forward. If the longer barrel is in use and pictures
are taken at a portion of the wide angle range, vignette will occur.
For the long lens mounted to the long adapter, I use a mounted support.
