They're some of the happiest & most expresive children I've ever seen, dispite the fact their family is quite poor - they only speak a few words of English, yet always run over to hi-five me, and to say "good morning kuyajames; good evening kuyajames..."
The Family lives in a very simple wood & pressboard dwelling at the roadside; no running water - but they do have electricity, and lots of love for each other...the beginning images here are from early 2005.
In Dec. 2005/Jan. 2006 I used what little money I had left over from the ProjectRice fund, to buy their Family daily fresh bread from Julie's Bakeshop, and to take Lisa, Letlet, JunJun & a few other needy neighborhood kids to the local BBQ stand on the corner for their lunches & dinners, until I left Cebu for Bantayan Island.
There are new images of the sisters here (scroll down) from Dec.2005 & Jan.2006 and in my newest Gallery:
