Currently living on my small & very beautiful little Bantayan Island off the coast of Cebu Philippines, my latest images are a work in progress; these are some of the colors of the Island as I see them everyday - many of the sky images are shot from close to the same places or vantage points, yet the colors & textures can be very different.

Hello there! A friend of ours highly recommended this place and since I really didn't know much about it, I googled and landed on your website. What a fantastic job of putting up all of the relevant information! I love your site because I can now get a feel for the costs, the eateries and the accomodations. Paul - excellent photos! This isn't the first time I've seen them. The first time I saw your photos, I said to myself, I gotta see and experience Bantayan. I have made reservations to stay at HK Kottages (per your recommendation) this coming January. I'll be going with my GF who I'll be meeting for the first time. I will definitely take a lot of pics. I have bookmarked this site, as well as the Bantayan site. I think it's one of the best kept secrets in the Philippines. Keep up the good work!

I really love your page Sir Paul specially your pictures of Sta. Fe, Bantayan. My friends and I are planning to spend our 3-day vacation there come 14th of this month. With your wonderful photos of the island, I feel more excited as that day comes closer. Thank you for sharing your gift of framing such awesome views. I, too love to take pictures. hi, im rea from cebu. my mom is from bantayan. i was just surfing the net and i thought of searching for sites about the beautiful island, bantayan. im really glad that you made this site because it makes me proud to be a bantayanon when i hear people appreciate the place where my mom came from. we come home to bantayan every year on holy week. thank you for reading my comment and hope you'll continue updating this site. good day!

Mayas is indeed featured on my website: wowBantayan.com
...it's listed/photographed 10 down from the top of the first hotel featured, so you can check the hotels listed there for a property that suits your needs.
Mayas is a very nice property about 25 min. north of the Santa Fe Resorts and although Mayas is on the rocky shoreline, it does not have a beach - although you can get into the water from their property.

Really nice pictures of Bantayan Island. Hope you could teach me a trick or two on how to capture these in frame.

Question, my wife and I are planning to go to Bantayan Island this coming May and I am still not sure on where to stay since I am getting mixed reviews on where the best resort to stay. I also see that Maia's Beach Resort is not featured in your list of resorts, would you recommend this place and is this near Sta. Fe? Is the beach where this resort is the same as the one in Sta. Fe, white sand and wide open beach?

...I'm also on TrekEarth & TrekLens, but with all the pBase & projectrice.org imaging work I've been doing, I haven't had the time to get back to my Trek Galleries; I will soon though.

I do use a unique 'angle' for some of my scenic images - you've got a good eye for noticing - and although I don't give away ALL my secrets here, I'll email you the information you seek.

Impressive gallery on Bantayan Island. I like the way you've captured the different colors.
I'm a Bantayanon but been away for a long time and have just been rediscovering the island. Like you, I'm also into photography with my main Bantayan posting in TrekEarth. I noticed some of your shot was from a higher ground .... considering there are no hills close to shore I tend to conclude you took the shots from a building??? The only building I can think of would be the green building behind Ogtong ... is this the place you took the shots? If so, how much are their rates? Also, have you had a sunrise/sunset photo session in Lawis and is it worth staying overnight? Many thanks for sharing your spectacular photos.
