After landing in Manila, I went to see Rosa & Edison (brother & sister from the 'Need' gallery) as well as the other Families on their street and bought 50 kilo/110lb. sacks of RICE for the Families, clothing & meals for the children (50kg sacks @ $23.00 - $27.00 ea.) as well as a much needed hospital visit & medicine for her eyes (their eye infections were so bad they couldn't see properly, or go out into the sun)....and on Dec.16, 2005 LOTS of children's clothing at Divisoria Market (for ages infant to 12yrs.) daily meals, etc. for those 12 to 15 familiar street kids I see every day, including Rosa & Edison - making it a very special Christmas for those Families.

The first time I bought a 50kg. sack of RICE & wheeled it to Rosa's doorstep of the abandoned building she was living in - her Grandfather Willie came out, and I put my arm on his shoulder & whispered "Merry Christmas from my Family & friends, to yours" he was stunned at first, then replied "thank you so much..." and then choked up when his eyes filled with tears.
