The oldest church in London. St. John's Chapel is located on the second floor of the White Tower in the Tower of London. It dates from 1080 AD, having survived intact from the early Norman period. The parish church of the Tower of London is St. Peter ad Vincula located adjacent to Waterloo Barracks and thus this chapel is often overlooked.
