Dating from the 15th century, St. Mary's Church sits on the grounds of Sudeley Castle and remains an officiated church of the Church of England. It fell into ruins during the English Civil War and was restored in the 18th century. The remains of Katherine Parr, the last and only surviving wife of Henry VIII, were discovered during the restoration. Her remains now lie in a marble tomb within the church.
