During a late afternoon visit I got my first view of the eyas (baby Peregrine Falcon). The female spent much of the hour and a half I was there standing watch over her single young. The male, whose right talon was injured when it got caught in cables of the construction crane on or about May 18, has survived almost 2 weeks now. The female was able to catch a Rock Pigeon very quickly in the vicinity of the scrape. She ate some of it herself first and then carried the remains to the scrape for the eyas.
