Walking through one of the gates in the wall surrounding Old Quebec is like stepping through a time machine into a 17th Century French city. Divided into Haute Ville (Upper Town) and, nearly 300 feet (92 meters) below, Basse Ville (Lower Town), this is the only walled city in North America to have preserved its fortifications. The walls were built starting in 1729. We walked around this fascinating, beautiful city for 3 days. I hope you enjoy these shots.
