This brought back wonderful memories to me. I was a RM3 on Saipan in 1953. The best duty stration in my 4 years Navy. I had many friends in Saipan, and I still hear from one special friend in Saipan. If you know a "Remy" Camachio , I think she lives in Chalan Kanoa, Tell her "Martin" says hello. my duty statioin was at the air field, which I hear is now Kobler Airport. We had a big Quansit hut and there were 3 US NAVY radiomen and 4 Native radio operators. Wonderful men. I havenot florgotten any of them. I would like to hear from anyone who remembers the Island as it was in the 1950's.........thaanks
