I was blessed to have lived on Saipan as a child in the mid-50's in the quonset hut on the beach and then up on the hill once they built homes up there. Four years of heaven. Its been almost 60 years -sigh- but I have not forgotten. Your photos are beautiful and they triggered sooooo many memories. Thanks for that!

Your photos are wonderful, beautiful, and bring back wonderful memories of the islands. I googled flame trees. I would love to buy one for our land in texas.
My husband and I were in Guam for six weeks in the summer of 2001. He was sent there as a Millenium Artist, and we worked with students from all the schools and went to many of the island church feasts, and festivals and military memorials. We met artists Ron Castro and Ms. Flores. Some photos of Guam and students are online at his website: www.waynewildcat.com

thanks for your great photos.....tolly wildcat

We've missed this common site--especially sitting outside Oleai Beach Club during Happy Hour.
