It has been very wet since we arrived in Hokkaido yesterday, and opportunities for the usual sort of Hokkaido landscapes have been limited. We (Lilac, really) found the frogs after a wrong turn on the way from the airport to the hotel. So here's a little handheld macro.

Incidentally I have no idea what this guy is holding.
