Anhingas & Cormorants

Double crested Cormorants and Anhingas coexist in many south Florida wetlands. As can be observed on some of the pictures in this gallery, this relatively peaceful coexistence can be shattered when the cormorants will sometime aggressively pursue Anhingas to steal their catch. It seems that in spite of their incredibly sharp beak, the Anhingas appear to be “no match” for the cormorants.
