Remembering those art deco bldgs that the new people don't appreciate and run them down. My friend just moved from Marion Avenue and 201st Street to FL. She had a gorgeous sunken living Rm and to die for apt, however, couldn't take it anymore. She said would you believe the Supt painted her mahogany elevator black.
I still live in Pelham Bay, Bx and almost took an apt in Pelham Pkwy with a sunken living room and walk in closets, however, on the way back home, I decided that it wasn't for me and will stay in Pelham Bay for the rest of my life. Pelham Pkwy was so exclusive when I was going to Columbus HS in the 60's, however, is changing rapidly.
I'll bet those people that gave up their gorgeous apartments to move to Coop City were sorry.

University ave,E.Grant and Ogden ave all lead to this bridge . It becames 181st on manhattan side.Went to ps 11 oldest school in Bx and then on to Clinton. Came home after school hitch hiking on the Grand Concourse. It was safe then(1953)
