I walked the other tunnel on 176th Street to C.E.S. 70 from 1970 to 1976. I always wanted to check this one out but we weren't allowed to walk to it. Now when I go visit my father I have to walk under this tunnel if I take the C train.

Me to. I walked this tunnel to go the C.E.S 70 from 1970 to 1973. I lived at 1616 Walton Ave.

Used to catch the D train in the entrance there in the tunnel. There used to be a gym
over the grocery store back in the early 80's, went there and worked out with my good friend Elmer.

If you kept going you would get to Jerome ave where 174th turned into Featherbed lane. Featherbed wound it's way up to macombs road and ended at university ave by the swedwick projects

I walked through here as well when I used to go to C.E.S. 70. I live a couple of blocks down.

I walked thru this tunnel everyday on my way to school also, or when I was walking down to the park to play as a child.
