East burn 1725 til we had to move for the X Bronx. Ps 70 had a great pool. Moved to 1492 Montgomery ave. Was a great neighborhood. Went to McCombs then music and art. Neighborhood was changing had younger sister

CY 9-3248 here! Before that it was SE 3-1933, lastly FA 5-5080. Lived at 4387 Third Ave., 1786 Topping Ave., and finally 4241 Monticello Ave., before moving to NJ in 1976. Loved growing up in the Bronx. Attended St. Joseph's Grammar School, and ST. Helena HS (class of 68).

That's funny - I can't remember why it is I walk into a room, and yet, immediately after reading the last comment: I'm CYpress 9-2685. All the way from 1760 Andrews Ave.and University Ave. 1952-1959. My parents divorced when I was 8 years old and sadly, suddenly I was taken away. I will never forget my Bronx neighborhood. Every detail of my building, the smell of the air, the brilliant blue skies. My first love - shared by so many who understand.

yes, and it had a black wrought iron double door with matching transom over it. I have often wondered about the name "Siann Hall" but never could find an answer. I imagine it could be a made up name or a combo of two names, "Simon + Anne". I can still rattle off our phone number like it was my own name, and can still see it printed on the black rotary dial phone, "CYpress 9 -1098"
