My sister and I both went to PS. 70 from 1967-1969; We lived at 1460 College Ave. between 171st and Teller Ave. We walked through the park to school every morning. We finally moved to Cornwall, NY in 1970. Month by month, the Bronx was becoming increasingly unsafe. Angie Paccione went on to Stanford University, played Pro Basketball in Ohio and Italy and later State Representative in Colorado. I went to Monmouth University on the Jersey Shore on a Basketball Scholarship. I live on the Jersey Shore now, and still perform as a DJ in the NY/NJ areas. I miss the Bronx and visit every chance I get.

I lived on the corner of 177th and morris avenue from 1969-1975 (yeah....I'm dating myself). I remember the neighborhood well, went to PS 28. It's been too long, must pay a visit.

I lived on 169th and webster ave, but i have vivid memories of walking all over the bronx. The Ice cream Truck, The Hot Dog Vendors, The Pizza Places, forget what youve heard the bronx provides some very Magical memories. Laughing at the sneakers hanging, those were the days. Since then ive moved to the state of washington rich in history lackluster in imagination......lemme hear some noise!

I loved your pictures. Between the age of 6 and 17 I lived at 1691 Eastburn ave across the street from the hole in the fence of the schoolyard of Ps 70. Thank you for reminding me. I now live in Manhattan Beach Ca, a beach city suburb of LA
