My wife and I started our tour of Scotland at relatives who live in The Cairngorms National Park. I was delighted to discover they had some friendly neighbourhood red squirrels. Even more amazing was the frequency that they visited a feeding station in woods directly opposite the window of the guest room. After a viewing the squirrels from across the road, I decided my next move was to set up my camera on a tripod a few yards away from the box, setting the camera on interval to take a shot every 30 seconds. I then retreated back behind the window of the guest room and with fingers crossed, watched through my binoculars! I didn’t have to wait long, the first squirrel crept back down the pine tree took a look at the camera and carried on with his business of peanuts, keeping one eye out for competing squirrels and posing beautifully for the camera. I was delighted with the images I came back with.

What a delightful gallery.Terrific quality images...well done! I love all squirrels, but we only now have grey ones, of course, down here in S. England. Would love to see these.
